About NAG

Northbrook Action Group was formed by local residents on the 19th June 2008 to challenge the overdevelopment of Northbrook School. The plans will see an 80% increase in the floorspace of the building and a 20% increase in pupil numbers. There has been no impact study to assess how this will effect all of us living near the school and how pupil movement will be managed during the day.

We object because:

  • It relies upon Manor House Gardens being used as the school playground and its sports facilities
  • It increases traffic, parking and noise pollution in the surrounding streets
  • It does not follow local planning regulation for the size of building and the materials to build it
  • It does not follow DCSF guidelines for pupils’ health and safety

The council don’t think any of this is a problem.

This site has been set up to allow you to tell them what you think

You can view the plans on the www.lewisham.gov.uk website. Click on the planning quick-link on the right hand side and then search for planning application number DC/07/67730.
